Countdown to Christmas....well what have we got in store for you! During November and early December we offer Christmas demonstrations where we show you how we do Christmas Flower Arrangements, Door Wreaths and Christmas Tree Decorating or why not join one of our evening workshops where we will help you create your own Christmas Door Wreath or Christmas Table Decoration. See below for dates and times or call Belinda on 01606 853241 As experts in bespoke packaging we have produced some great local produce gift wrapped packs and can create ones specific for your own needs. You can find a great selection of Christmas gifts from Davenports any time now. Sat 10 December is the commencement of our Victorian Christmas period and our special Victorian themed Christmas Afternoon teas (which should be pre-booked any time from now). A fantastic olde worlde experience with staff dressed in period costume and the tea room and shop decorated in Victorian Christmas decorations. And don't forget you can order all your Christmas Food and Drink through our priority order system. Our Winter opening hours are as follows:Mon 10am - 4pm (last orders for tea room 3pm) Sometimes we may be open later depending on how busy it is, however this is not guaranteed unless prior arranged. If you making a special journey to visit us, may we recommend to call us in advance to check whether there is reduced capacity due to private bookings. It is also sometimes possible to reserve or ask for specific varieties of our famous home scones. Christmas & New Year Opening Times are as follows: Wed 21 December 10am - 6pm (last orders for tea room 3pm) Sat 14 January normal hours resume* (please note last orders for tea room from 5 Jan will be 3pm throughout the winter unless you contact us first and make prior arrangements) *Please note Davenports Farm Shop & Tea Room will re-open on Sat 14th January 2012, Davenports Florists will be open from Mon 16th January, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Forthcoming Events:Christmas Events 2011Victorian Christmas Afternoon Tea Christmas at Davenports is a special occasion for not only do we dress up our shop with the Olde Worlde Christmas theme, but all our staff are dressed in Victorian costume during this period. We also offer a very special Victorian Afternoon Tea with a sample of mulled wine on arrival, turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches, a pot of tea, home-made cherry and cinnamon scones with Cornish clotted cream and local home-made jam, minced tart and a slice of Christmas cake all on our vintage bone china service; plus a gift from us, all this for £18 per person. Booking is essential at least 24hrs in advance. Victorian Christmas Shopping Experience The halls are decked with holly and festive cheer, staff are dressed in Victorian costume during this period; delicious local and home-made foods to sample and purchase making it one of the best Christmas Shopping experiences in Cheshire. Christmas Ordering Service Between 12 November till Sun 4 Dec OFF-SITE EVENTS During November and December we take our local produce and gifts out and about to various local events, we dress in Victorian costume and our stall looks great with many great things to see and buy. Sunday 1 July 2012 Fun for all ages, including colouring and cake decorating competitions, storytelling and music, weather permitting an outdoor walking quiz and a game of croquet a possibilty. There will be lots of characters from the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll the author of Alice in Wonderland was born less than a mile and a half from here. Northwich Medieval Festival Action Bridge Steam Rally & Classic Car Rally In its 44th year, steam engines galore and historic boats, heaven for those interested in our heritage.
