About Us In 1947, Harry Fry Davenport started growing and retailing vegetables and flowers firstly from land rented from Cogshall Hall, then from Bridge Farm where we are located now. In 1955 he opened a green grocers shop in Barnton. In the subsequent years the business focused on floristry, eventually opening/buying three more florist shops. These were recently sold to enable the farm shop to be developed which finally opened in November 2006, effectively coming full circle.
